Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for Process Engineering Co-Op to be in PR San Lorenzo. The Co-op term is from January to December, 2027. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose As a Process Engineering Co-Op, you will support manufacturing and process improvement initiatives within Ethicon San Lorenzo. The role focuses on driving operational excellence through process optimization, project execution, quality improvements, data analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, and regulatory requirements. You Will Be Responsible For Supporting and executing engineering projects of low to medium complexity. Identifying process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, throughput, and productivity. Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Supporting process validation activities and developing validation protocols. Managing and supporting Non-Conformance (NC) Quality Actions from initiation through completion. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Analyzing manufacturing data and recommending improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and costs. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving methodologies. Coordinating communications between Ethicon San Lorenzo and equipment manufacturers or suppliers. Developing and presenting innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes. Ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, environmental, safety, and occupational health standards. Qualifications / Requirements Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering field Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, reflective of all college coursework. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Technical Skills Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Word Power BI Minitab (preferred) Visio (preferred) Basic knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) Basic programming or data analysis skills (Python or MATLAB is a plus) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, GMP, and Quality Systems is preferred.
