System Test Intern (Summer 2027) Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Core Engineering team as a System Test Engineering Intern. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in system-level verification and validation of intelligent monitoring and power management products. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality engineering, enjoys methodical problem-solving across hardware and software interfaces, and is eager to apply Generative AI tools to engineering workflows. Responsibilities Execute system-level test cases against firmware builds on physical and virtualized test environments, verifying product behavior across network management protocols (Redfish, SNMP, Modbus, BACnet). Document and report defects with clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting logs or captures. Participate in defect triage and test review sessions using Agile Development practices. Validate product features including web UI, CLI, and API interfaces on intelligent power and monitoring hardware (PDUs, BMCs, environmental sensors). Use Generative AI tools to support test documentation, log analysis, and workflow automation. Monitor test results for data quality and integrity, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with the team to resolve them. Stay current with trends in test engineering and quality assurance, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your skills and apply new techniques. Qualifications Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work. Collaboration and teamwork. Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH) is a plus. Exposure to Linux command-line environments is a plus.
